Typically, applications fall into one of 3 categories
1. Home back up (i.e. emergency power)
Honda's generators are designed to work well with a transfer switch, enabling you to quickly and easily power essential home appliances.
2. Recreational use (RV, camping, tailgating, boating)
Super Quiet generators are easily portable and perfect for most recreational applications.
3. Industrial use (construction and rental)
Designed with the construction worker in mind, the durable EB generators meet OSHA requirements.
In 1996, a parallel operation function was provided for the first time on a portable unit in the world, allowing nearly double the available power. The EX500 was released with this function, and incorporates a sine wave inverter that achieves a high-quality electric supply on par with commercial grid power. In addition to the low fuel consumption provided by the eco-throttle mechanism and parallel operation function, the EU series that was released in 1998 achieves the same level of power output in a unit that is about half the weight and the size. The EM and EB series introduced in 2004 with a dual inverter can output 100V and 200V power at the same time. The generator supplies high-quality electricity, and features a high level of environmental performance and a sine wave inverter, and is setting a new world standard.
